Asset Management: One of the Fastest Growing RFID Application

RFID enables to get better control and visibility over assets. You will get an introduction on how RFID enables real-time track and trace. It gives the capability for unprecedented visibility into the movement, location and disposition of assets. The data captured at each read point provides the WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE and WHY of each event. Asset management is one of the key and fastest growing application to use RFID.

RFID Deployment, an Interesting Ride!

Testing a wide variety of RFID solutions over the years, TNT’s conclusion is clear; the technology works, the opportunities are there and the benefits real.

If this is true, why so many companies are still hesitant? What does it take to move from proprietary local initiatives to full Supply Chain adoption? Does the tag price still need to go down? Is infrastructure cost too high? Is Business focus too much on short term versus long term financial gains or do we have to overcome the normal innovation related change management issues?
